Where music and the written word meet, and where we go from there.
Welcome to Beyond Language’s Reach. This podcast is my attempt to combine two passions—writing and music.
In each episode, I read a piece of prose I’ve written (much of it is fiction, but there is some non-fiction too), followed by a piece of music inspired by that prose and improvised on the spot, usually on flute or guitar. At the time of writing, I’ve done four episodes so far. In the most recent one, I spoke about community versus isolation; the previous episodes featured bits of fiction written by me.
